Support through donations in kind

You are very welcome to support the work of KARO e. V. with donations in kind. Please understand that we cannot accept all donations at all times. Our storage capacity is limited and specific needs change regularly. 

Regular and current needs:

Continuously needed:

  • Hygiene items (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cream, deodorant spray, sanitary pads, tampons, panty liners, tissues)
  • Non-perishable food (canned goods, pasta, rice, bulgur, flour, sugar, tea, coffee, instant soups, cookies, etc.)

 

IMPORTANT: Hygiene products and food must be unopened/in their original packaging (including outer packaging). The best-before date should be at least 6 months in the future.

What we currently need

For our shelter, we need the following items as needed:

  • Vacuum cleaners (bagless if possible)
  • e.g., small hygiene buckets, rugs
  • Cookware in good condition
  • Towels, Bed linen, blankets (plain colors if possible)
  • Hand and surface disinfectant
  • Kitchen roll, garbage bags
  • Crockery, cutlery (no individual items, no flea market goods)

 

For our soup kitchen in Czechia, we need (e.g.):

  • Outdoor games, e.g., cup stilts, foldable soccer goals (small), etc., sidewalk chalk
  • Thermal containers (preferably with spouts) for soups, sausages, etc.
  • Large Ziploc bags (to take home)

For our office, we need (e.g.):

  • 2 mobile document shredders
  • 1 simple graphics tablet
  • Daylight lamps
  • desks

Donations in kind from companies

Companies are also welcome to support us with donations in kind.

We welcome, among other things:

  • Surplus or excess stock
  • Individual items
  • Furniture from warehouse clearances
  • Discontinued models
  • Second-choice goods or comparable items

Please understand that we need dimensions and photos in advance to check whether, for example, pieces of furniture fit in with the existing furnishings and whether there is sufficient space available.

Donation receipts

  • Second-hand goods:
    In individual cases, we can issue a donation receipt for goods. To do so, we require a written and realistic estimate of the donation value.
  • New goods:
    A tax-relevant receipt for donations in kind can be issued for new items. This requires proof of the costs you have incurred.
