Summer Camp 2026

Under the theme “Mario Kart – Dare to Be Yourself!”, about 30 children and teens from Cheb and Aš enjoyed four special days filled with fellowship, adventure, and valuable experiences. In addition to games, creativity, and shared experiences, the camp also focused on important prevention topics.

Community, Courage, and Unforgettable Moments

In 2026, the KARO e.V. summer camp once again provided a very special experience for about 30 children and teens from Cheb and Aš. Under the motto “Mario Kart – Dare to Be Yourself!”, a safe space was created for four days where participants could leave their often challenging everyday lives behind and experience community, appreciation, and carefree moments.

Swimming, trampoline jumping, group meals, a disco, and homemade “Mario Karts” followed by a race provided plenty of variety. At the same time, prevention work was an important part of the camp. In small groups and sexual education workshops, the children and teens explored topics such as personal boundaries, closeness and distance, and the right to help and protection from sexual violence.

Special memories were also made at the “Magic Market” and with the homemade jam jars, which were filled with little messages and compliments during the camp. So in the end, the children took home not only their jars, but also many wonderful memories, a sense of being valued, and—hopefully—a little courage.
